ALIEN INVASION

Have you ever dreamed something that woke you up in sweat and/or tears and made you appreciate you are alive more than you did when you went to sleep couple hours back.
I started dreaming lately, and unlike all the time, I started remembering what I dreamed about when I woke up, and my latest couple of dreams were insane..
If I'd write about them in details, it would sound like one of Roland Emmerich disaster movie screenplays.

Lately, I have recurring dream about alien invasion, not a friendly ones, but, "run for your life" ones.
It probably has something to do with loads of alien invasion movies hitting cinemas, hope it's not my sixth sense telling me something bad's gonna happen xD. Only problem I have with my dreams is I got no frickin control what so evar. if something can go bad it most certainly will :/
Tho' I love that sort of dreams, sometimes they make me tired and get me scared, well, at least until I realize it was just a dream.

Anyways, I gotta start thinking of some super weapon, so I can take it on my next dream journey.

T REX SKELETON update

I've almost completed T rex skeleton.

This should have been completed months ago, but I've put it on ice due to some other more important work I had back then and just couple of days ago I decided it's time to get it done.

These are some snaps from the Zbrush vieport.

My intention is to make it downloadable, skeleton and body mesh. Idea is to have it for learning purposes and better understanding of T rex anatomy.

This is the place where anyone who might read this blog would find out the time and place of when the T rex model will become downloadable.

Oh yeah, not to forget, the Canon 7D camera works, I had it sent to the authorized service shop and they exchange it's mirror box, and now it works like a charm for last 4-5 months or so.

CANON 7D, error 20

Bought Canon 7D about 45 days ago.

My overall impressions with the 7D performance are positive ones cos this camera is awesome.

It has ultra fast and precise focus, it's HD movie options are amazing, shutter speed is superb..

There are many more things and details that make this camera so special.

But...

I was in visit at my friend in London, and on the first day, we went out to the city so I could see some London for the first time, and as we were walking over the Westminster's bridge, I took some Big Ben pics. At that moment my Canon froze, displaying error 20 code only after couple of hours of use on that day. Used it with my brand new Canon 17-40mm L lens, powered with battery pack.

After the error message, Camera produced some weird buzzing noise(two or three time 1-sec buzzes: bzzzzz bzzzzz) when turned on and off, or when battery removed and inserted.

Dont even have to mention that any attempt on recovering from that error turned out as a waste of time.

Since it is only 45 days old, and under the warranty, I decided to send it to authorized Canon service shop.

Now, I have to wait over a month for it to be serviced, or, if that fails, replaced.

I honestly hope this wont happen again, as I would hate to quit on Canon products, cos I'm a faithful Canon buyer.

T REX skeleton 3D

Hi there,

Been some time from my last, not so constructive or informative post here.

Im taking this opportunity to post publicly for the first time about something I'm working on, on and off for some time now.

I have modeled an accurate T rex skeleton in zbrush.

I plan to add muscles and different levels of detail, maybe even rig for posing, and maybe turn it into downloadable item on the internet.

Till it happens I'm posting screen grab from zbrush of how that skeleton looks.

Just posting for the sake of it

I guess I ain't real blogger material.

Regardless,

I was hectic busy lately, torn between my freelance career and my private projects.

The fact that I really over done it got me to bed with high temperature and really tired and warned out state of body. But I got pass that and now I'm on the same road again, workin' my ass of.

I had a nice time few days ago trying to figure out caustics in MR.

Yeah, MR. Im learning MR. cos I realized I wont progress much further using scanline alone.

Anyways, I've put up the scene, and followed the steps, and no result, no caustics, no photons.

I repeated the procedure couple times, loosing my mind over it but to no avail.

And then, I discovered that I needed to increase the photon energy pref, and just that thing sorted the entire issue.

Damn caustics, now I know how to render it.

Anyways, I'm reading this post of mine, and it is so messy, almost purposeless, but I guess I will learn how to blog if I constantly put something up, bit more often then I do....

Ok. now I'm going to interrupt this purposeless post and return to work.
